Does that figure take your breath away? It should!

That is your hard-earned money walking out the door
every time an employee quits.

Our online training video modules and quizzes will fast-track
your new hires into understanding the basics of dog handling and
SAVE YOU MONEY.

See what sets us apart
and how we can save you money!

We love our clients, and they love us!

Wonderful employee training programs to get the basics down without having to keep up with textbooks and DVDs. Easy to use, easy to deal with, very easy to track.
Steven Scott, Camp Scotty
Dog Handler Academy has been an amazing addition to our training program. Our employees receive educational information as soon as they are enrolled and once their training is completed they are knowledgeable in many areas of the canine industry. This is an amazing program and we highly recommend it. Our team comments on how much they love the content vs. other training programs. It used to take months for our team to complete training and now it's less than a week.
Sherry Rogers,
Dream A Dream Dachshunds
Very good training for our revolving door of kennel workers. Really makes it easy to have consistent communication.
Curtis Hastings, The Pup Stop LLC
Unlike a lot of other industry programs, DHA keeps your attention. Each module is short and interesting. It goes over the very basics and builds upon those to give your team a solid foundation to grow professionally.
Dani Petty, Camp Happy Tails
Training staff has to be one of the most difficult parts of our business. This program has helped me to finally implement standards for training new hires. DHA makes it so much easier, and even fun! The videos are quick and knowledgeable and it's easy to keep track of how your employees are progressing. I have also learned a lot myself. What a wonderful (and reasonably priced) resource!
Julie Kramer,
Canine Cabins Luxury Dog Retreat
I feel like your content is more well-rounded over [others]. It talks about animal behavior, and I like how it goes over basic day-to-day tasks that would normally not be talked about. I like that you focus on the employee and all aspects of their job and not just animal behavior.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which plan is right for me?

Your subscription is based on the number of active users (employees) on your account. You’ll want to have enough users to correspond with the average number of new employees you hire each month.

Can I have more than one administrator?

Yes, however, keep in mind these individuals can make changes to your account, so choose wisely (typical administrators would be those in management and/or supervisor roles).

How long do the courses take?

Courses vary in length. Our Course 101 takes approximately 4 hours to complete.   Course 201 will take approximately 5 hours to complete.

Our Dog Handler to Day Trainer standalone course takes approximately 3 hours to complete plus the time to record and submit the training videos required to pass the course.

How do I know if my employees are making progress on the course?

You can track your employees’ progress from your facility dashboard. This shows the percentage they have completed as well as their individual quiz scores.

Dog Handler Academy emails you if an employee has NOT started the course within 7 days of receiving their login credentials! Dog Handler Academy also emails you if an employee has NOT completed the course within 14 or 21 days of receiving their credentials.

How do I pay for my plan?

Plans are paid monthly via credit card or Pay Pal. You can upgrade or cancel your membership at any time. Contact us if you need assistance!

Can users watch the training videos on a phone?

Due to the aspect ratio of the videos, they are not maximized on a phone; therefore, users may miss key pieces by viewing the videos on a phone. A laptop or tablet would be a better choice.

Can I cancel or upgrade my plan at any time?

Yes, you are welcome to cancel at any time.
You can also upgrade your plan selection as your business grows. Contact us to change your plan.

What if I have concerns about my internet speed?

If you have slow internet speed or connection issues, please contact us. We’re here to help!

If I already use another training program, how would I transition my staff to Dog Handler Academy?

We find it is best to have employees start at the beginning. It never hurts for employees to get a refresher course and this ensures consistent training and communication among your employees and supervisors.

Are there quizzes I have to print out or grade?

No! All of the quizzes are online and graded for you, so there’s no printing quizzes or grading quizzes. (The only thing you may wish to print out would be your employees’ course completion certificates for your records—or simply save the PDF instead of printing.)

How will I know if you update content?

We will send out an email whenever content is updated, so you can determine if existing staff needs to watch new or updated content modules. This is a great opportunity for you to use incentives for continuing education for your staff.

Who manages my account for adding and deleting users (employees)?

As the administrator, you have complete access to add or remove users (employees). Please note that if an employee leaves your business and starts work at a different business, they do NOT retain their training certificate from Dog Handler Academy.

I purchased a membership but have not received my login credentials. What do I do?

Check your junk/spam folder. If you still have not received your login within an hour, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

What if I have suggestions for future content for Dog Handler Academy courses?

Please contact Dog Handler Academy with your suggestions.

Does Dog Handler Academy have a referral program?

Yes! Please read more about our referral program here.

Will Dog Handler Academy be offering more courses in the future?

Yes! We are constantly working to expand our course offerings, and we will notify all members as new courses and products are released.

Can I add my own facility-specific training videos, materials, and/or quiz questions to the course?

Yes! Please reach out to Dog Handler Academy for pricing and customized content options. We can help create a learning experience to best fit your team as well as your facility’s needs.

Do you offer dog business consulting services?

Our founder can assist with consulting regarding your business structure and engineering, design and layout, building and construction (the do’s, the don’ts, and the wish-I-wouldn’t-haves), adding training to your existing daycare program, and understanding your finances. If you have a specific need that goes beyond our consulting topics, we can refer you to other consultants in our network! Just email us at contactus@doghandleracademy.com and we can help you.

Where is Dog Handler Academy located?

Dog Handler Academy is an online academy, so there is no in-person training included in our program. We are based out of Wisconsin.

What if I have further questions?

Please email us at contactus@doghandleracademy.com or call us at 608.406.4624 and we will be happy to help!

Time is money Time is money, and many dog daycare and boarding businesses can’t afford to waste time grading paperwork or training every new hire on all of the basics necessary to get up to speed on their job. Training for the “Oh sh*t!” moments How do you teach your staff all of the dog behavior that they may need to handle? In Course 201, we show you real-life videos of dogs in a daycare environment, playing, getting aggressive, and HOW to handle these situations. We review play styles—when is it just play and when do you need to intervene? Does your staff know when a dog is under stress and needs to be moved away from the play group? We cover how to handle aggressive dogs and biters, how to respond to a latch, and advanced kenneling techniques.
